Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life: MC Langate Organizes Awareness Programme & Rally

Langate, June 11: Under the banner of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Municipal Committee Langate on Tuesday organized a comprehensive awareness programme at the Municipal Town Hall Langate. The event was held under the supervision of Executive Officer Municipal Committee Langate and witnessed enthusiastic participation from various sections of society.

 

The programme was attended by over 110 participants, including students, teachers, doctors, traders, civil society members, transporters, as well as Naib Tehsildar Langate, Police Post Officer Langate Mr. Rayees Ahmad, and all employees of the Municipal Committee Langate.

 

On the occasion, speakers from different fields shed light on the grave issue of drug abuse, its adverse effects on individuals, families, and society, and the urgent need for collective, community-based efforts to root out the menace from the grassroots level. The speakers emphasized that the fight against drug addiction requires active involvement from every section of the society, especially the youth.

 

To mark the commitment towards a drug-free Langate, a symbolic plague was also received by the committee, reaffirming the resolve of the town to stand united against substance abuse.

 

At the end of the programme, all officials, students, teachers, civil society members, and MC employees participated in a rally from the Municipal Committee Town Hall to Main Chowk Langate, holding placards with powerful messages like “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life.”

 

Executive Officer, Municipal Committee Langate, in his concluding remarks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, participating students, and resource persons for their active involvement and valuable contributions in making the programme a success.

 

The event not only raised awareness but also strengthened community resolve to continue the campaign against drugs with renewed vigor.
