Baramulla 14th February:- In a notable recognition of contributions to the education sector in North Kashmir, Nazir Ahmad Lone, District Cultural Coordinator and DNO of National Programmes within the School Education Department of Baramulla, was awarded the prestigious “Shaan-e-Varmul 2.0” in acknowledgement of his exceptional work in youth engagement and environmental conservation.
The award ceremony took place at Thimayya Hall, where Mr Lone was honoured with high regard by the Dagger Division (19 Dagger Dev) in recognition of his dedicated service spanning over four years.
As District Cultural Coordinator, Mr Lone has led numerous transformative initiatives throughout Baramulla. In his role as Nodal Officer for national educational programs, he has effectively mobilised students to participate actively in various academic, cultural, and civic activities. His leadership in organising district-wide cleanliness campaigns, strengthening eco-clubs, and raising environmental awareness has played a significant role in fostering responsible and environmentally conscious citizenship.
Among his notable achievements is the organisation of large-scale cultural events such as the Shanti Yatra, which promoted communal harmony, youth involvement, and a collective sense of unity among students.
