Budgam, June 13 : President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Moosavi Al-Safavi, on Friday strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes on Iran, terming them a blatant violation of international law and diplomatic norms.
Leading a protest against the Israeli assault, Aga Syed Hassan said the attack reflects Israel’s growing aggression and disregard for global codes of conduct.
Speaking to reporters during the protest, the prominent religious leader said that Iran was targeted solely for its vocal and principled support to the people of Gaza and Palestine, who continue to suffer under occupation and bombardment. He added that Israel has now “crossed all limits” by launching direct military attacks on Iranian territory.
“The Israeli strikes on Iran are unjust, provocative, and an open challenge to the international community. It is not just an assault on one country but an assault on justice, law, and the shared values of humanity,” Aga Syed Hassan said.
He warned that such aggressive actions could plunge the entire region into a wider war, endangering global peace and security. He called upon the United Nations, OIC, and other international human rights organizations to intervene immediately and take concrete steps to de-escalate tensions.
Aga Syed Hassan also highlighted the need for the world community to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the long-pending issue of Palestine. He said ignoring the root cause, Israel’s continued occupation and oppression, will only lead to more bloodshed and instability.
“Peace in the Middle East will remain elusive unless justice is ensured for the people of Palestine. The global silence on the Gaza massacre is as dangerous as the aggression itself,” he said.
The protest, held peacefully under the banner of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, witnessed participation from clerics and local residents who raised slogans against the Israeli offensive and expressed solidarity with the people of Iran and Palestine.
Aga Syed Hassan concluded by urging all conscientious nations and civil society groups across the globe to raise their voices against what he described as "Israeli arrogance backed by impunity" and work collectively for a just and lasting peace in the Middle East. [KNT]
