MP Ruhullah Mehdi Blasts Israeli Strikes, Calls Zionist Regime a “Colonial Thug

HT NEWS DESK

Srinagar, June 13 : Member Parliament Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi has launched a scathing criticism of Israel, labelling it a "rogue Zionist regime" for launching unprovoked attacks across multiple sovereign nations, including Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and most recently, Iran.

In a sharply worded statement, Ruhullah said, “Israel has now bombed Palestine, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, and Iran, and still plays the victim. This rogue Zionist regime isn’t defending itself — it’s behaving like a colonial thug.” He further asserted that Israel’s repeated cross-border aggression has nothing to do with self-defence and everything to do with impunity and power projection.

The MP condemned the airstrikes on Iran as a blatant violation of international law and called out the global silence surrounding Israel's actions. “Attacking sovereign nations at will doesn’t make you powerful. It makes you a terrorist state,” he said.

Ruhullah Mehdi argued that Iran, like any independent nation, has full right under international norms to respond with force. “Iran now has every right to defend itself and take full, punishing revenge. The Zionist regime should pay for its crimes in Gaza,” he added, underlining that continued attacks on sovereign states by Israel were inflaming global tensions and eroding all notions of justice and accountability.
