Kultoora Villagers Laud PDD Handwara Team for Quick Restoration of Power Supply

Handwara, Mar, 12: Residents of Kultoora village in north Kashmir’s Handwara area have expressed gratitude to the Power Development Department (PDD) Division Handwara for its prompt response in repairing a damaged 250 KV transformer that supplies electricity to around 200 households, including the village’s main Markazi Jamia Masjid Sharief.
According to locals, the transformer developed a fault, causing power disruption in the area. However, the PDD Division Handwara acted swiftly and repaired the completely damaged transformer within a few hours, restoring electricity to the village.
The villagers appreciated the efforts of Executive Engineer (Exn) PDD Division Handwara, Shri Mohd Asif along with his team of Assistant Executive Engineers (AEEs) Shabir Ahmad and Sajjad Mir, and the mechanical team of the division for their dedication and quick action.
The repaired transformer was later transported back to the station through the PDD transport service and reinstalled, bringing relief to the residents.
Locals also hailed the efforts of local casual labour employee Shabaz Ahmad Tantray, who worked tirelessly and showed great dedication to address the public concern regarding the damaged transformer.
The residents said such timely action by the department reflects their commitment towards public service and ensures uninterrupted power supply to the village.
