Langate,Apr, 25:In a gesture of solidarity and prompt response, MLA Langate Shaikh Khursheed on Saturday visited the residence of a fire-affected family in Mogdam Mohalla, Langate, to assess the damage caused by a devastating blaze that gutted their house.

The fire incident, which occurred in the early hours, completely destroyed the residential house of Mohd Dilawar Mir, a labourer by profession, leaving the family in distress. Soon after receiving information, the MLA rushed to the spot and conducted an on spot assessment of the losses.

Interacting with the affected family, the MLA expressed deep sympathy and assured them of all possible assistance during this difficult time. He emphasized that both the government and society stand firmly with the victims and that no effort would be spared in their rehabilitation.

As an immediate relief measure, Shaikh Khursheed announced financial assistance of ₹1 lakh from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF) to support the family in coping with the immediate aftermath of the tragedy.
The MLA also directed concerned departments, including Revenue, Education, and Forest, to provide immediate assistance and ensure coordinated relief efforts on the ground.

He instructed the local administration to expedite relief and rehabilitation measures so that normalcy could be restored at the earliest.Reaffirming his commitment, the MLA stated that he would personally monitor the situation and ensure that the affected family receives all due support in the coming days.

Officials from the Municipal Committee, Police Post Langate, Revenue Department, and other concerned agencies were present during the visit.

The MLA was accompanied by youth leader AIP Advocate Shahnawaz Abdullah and several local workers, who appreciated the swift response and relief announced for the victim family.
