Handwara, Aug, 12:As part of the ongoing nationwide Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi, and SSP Handwara, Choudhary Mushtaq Ahmad(KPS), along with other senior civil and police officers, today led a grand Mega Tiranga Rally from Model Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara.
The rally witnessed massive public participation, with thousands of students from across Sub-District Handwara, government officials, employees, civil society members, traders, transporters, and locals, all proudly carrying the National Flag. Among the prominent participants were the Tehsildar Handwara Zeeshan Khan, ASP Handwara,SDPO Handwara,DSP DR, Deputy CEO Kupwara, EXN R&B Div Handwara and others.
The spirited march began from the lush playground of Model Boys Higher Secondary School, weaving its way through various streets and markets of Handwara town, and concluded at the District Hospital Handwara. All along the route, the atmosphere echoed with patriotic slogans, songs, and chants, showcasing the deep commitment of the people towards unity, integrity, and nationalism.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC Handwara and SSP Handwara highlighted the importance of the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative in fostering a strong sense of patriotism. They appealed to the public to hoist the National Flag at their homes from August 13 to 15 and to actively participate in the 79th Independence Day celebrations.
The Mega Tiranga Rally forms part of a series of events organized by the Sub-District Administration Handwara to commemorate the sacrifices of India’s freedom fighters and celebrate the nation’s hard-earned independence with pride and honour.
