HANDWARA:Oct,12:- The Power Development Department (PDD), Division Handwara, in collaboration with Khan Solar & Electronics Pvt. Ltd. and other stakeholders, organised a day-long awareness programme under the Seva Setu Abhiyan to promote the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, aimed at encouraging consumers to adopt rooftop solar energy.
The programme witnessed participation from more than 100 prospective consumers who expressed interest in installing rooftop solar systems under the government scheme.
During the awareness drive, participants were informed about the scheme and the process of installing rooftop solar systems. The programme also provided an opportunity for consumers to seek clarification regarding eligibility, documentation, application procedures and other related queries.
Officials of PDD Division Handwara, along with representatives of Khan Solar & Electronics Pvt. Ltd.Chotipora Handwara assured the participants of full assistance and guidance throughout the application and installation process.
The initiative aims to increase public awareness about rooftop solar energy and encourage households to explore the benefits of solar power under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
The programme also highlighted the importance of coordination between the department, service providers and consumers in facilitating the adoption of renewable energy and promoting greater awareness of government welfare initiatives.
