PM, LG congratulates Sadia Tariq on winning gold medal in Moscow

Srinagar, Feb 26: Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi and Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha Saturday took to Twitter and congratulated Sadia Tariq from Jammu and Kashmir for winning a gold medal in Wushu Stars Championship in Moscow, Russia.
Talking to a microblogging site, Modi wrote, “Congratulations to Sadia Tariq on winning the Gold medal at the Moscow Wushu Stars Championship. Her success will inspire many budding athletes. Wishing her the very best for her future endeavours."
LG Manoj Sinha also took Twitter and congratulated Sadia Tariq on winning Gold in Moscow Wushu Stars championship.
“Congratulations to Sadia Tariq from Srinagar on winning Gold in Moscow Wushu Stars championship. She showed great discipline, dedication, talent & mental strength and has done India proud. She is an inspiration for budding sportspersons from UT. I wish Sadia more success in future,” tweeted LG Sinha.
Sadia achieved this feat while defeating her opponent from Russia in the final bout of the ongoing championship.
She played a total of three fights in the championship and defeated her opponents from Kazakhstan, Czech Republic and Russia.
She is also two times consecutive gold medalist in the Junior National Wushu championships.
