Open Letter To The Honorable LG Manoj Sinha...
Subject: Delayed Salaries for Employees of Jalshakti PHE Department
Respected Sir,
We hope this letter finds your goodself in good health and high spirits. We, the Employees of the Jalshakti Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, wish to draw your kind attention to a critical issue that has been adversely affecting our lives for the past two years and five months.
Before delving into the details, we would like to express our gratitude for your diligent efforts in ensuring good governance and welfare for the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Under your esteemed leadership, we have witnessed numerous positive changes, and we believe that you possess the vision and determination to address the challenges faced by the people of our region.
The purpose of this letter is to highlight the plight of 38 employees who were appointed to the Jalshakti PHE Department following the publication of the selection list on 16/12/2020 for the Class IV posts in Baramulla. These posts were advertised through Deputy Commissioner Baramulla's notification no. 04/ddcb of 2006, dated 18/10/2006. The selection order no. dcb/ps/22/2020, dated 16/12/2020, along with the continuation of appointment order no. dcb/ps/23/2020, dated 17/12/2020, resulted in the appointment of 184 candidates across nine different departments of Agriculture Production Department, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, Forest Departmen, Jalshakti PHE Department, R and B Department, Revenue Department, Rural Development Department, School Education Department and Tourism Department.
However, it is disheartening to note that only the appointed employees of the Jalshakti PHE Department (numbering 38) have not received their salaries for the past two years and five months.
We were ecstatic to receive our appointments in various departments, but it is disheartening to inform you that our salaries have not been disbursed for the past two years and five months.
We acknowledge the efforts made by the government to address the issue of delayed salaries across different departments. However, despite numerous representations and appeals, we have yet to receive any concrete resolution to our problem. This prolonged delay in payment has caused immense financial and emotional distress to us and our families.
As dedicated employees, we have been diligently discharging our duties, providing essential services to the public, and contributing to the overall development of our society. However, the non-payment of our salaries has not only affected our livelihoods but has also eroded our morale and dampened our enthusiasm to serve.
We humbly request your intervention in this matter, as we firmly believe that your esteemed office possesses the authority and influence to rectify this issue. We kindly urge you to investigate the reasons behind the prolonged delay in salary disbursement for the employees of the Jalshakti PHE Department and ensure that the necessary actions are taken to resolve this matter at the earliest.
We understand the complex nature of administrative processes, but we genuinely hope that our plea will not go unheard. We have complete faith in your commitment to justice and fairness, and we trust that you will prioritize our concerns to alleviate our suffering and bring about a swift resolution.
Once again, we express our deepest gratitude for your dedication to public service and your tireless efforts to improve the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We eagerly await a positive response and a timely resolution to our predicament.
Thank you for your attention and understanding.
Yours sincerely
Aggrieved Employees of Jal Shakti Department
