Kreeri Feberuary 26 : The literary and cultural fraternity is in deep mourning following the demise of eminent scholar and writer Abdul Ghani Beg Athar, whose passing has been widely described as a profound and irreparable loss to the intellectual landscape of the region.

Athar, who served as former Vice President of Adabi Markaz Kamraz and former Patron of Cultural Trust Kupwara, was known for his unwavering commitment to literature, scholarship, and social reform. Kruhen Cultural Forum Kreeri also expressed profound grief over his passing. In a joint statement, its President, Syed Shamim Ahmad Shamim and General Secretary Syed Sharief Hussain Qadri, described Abdul Ghani Beg Athar was not only a prolific writer but a moral compass for society whose words carried both wisdom and responsibility.
