Acute water scarcity hits Gujjarnor Rangpath area of Kralgund Langate

Langate,Apr,19: The residents of Gujjarnor Rangpath area of Kralgund Langate are up in arms against the Public Health Engineering Division (PHE) Handwara for‘failing to provide adequate water supply in their village from past 04days’.Accusing the authorities for ignoring their plights, the residents of Gujjarnor have demanded immediate redressal of their genuine grievances.

While talking to HTNEWS-NETWORK,local sarpanch Salam u-Din  said, "We the villagers of Gujjarnor are facing completely the shortage of drinking water from past 04days.He said,It is very unfortunate for PHE division that our village  is only few kms away from the mainline which supplies drinking water almost 100 villages of said area,but we can't understand why only our village Gujjarnor is without water supply from last 04 days.Though contacted to department officials but it seems they are in deep slumber. There are also many Water supply lines passing through our village, but it seems the negligence of department that we are not getting a single drop of  drinking water from last 4days.We can't understand how we can celebrate EID with out drinking water, which is  hardly Two days away

The residents also told  that acute water scarcity has hit their villages from past 04 days while the officials are paying no heed over their sufferings.“We approached to the higher ups in this regard but unfortunately all in vein. All the assurances given by the officials proved hoax,”the residents  said that the authorities must not ignore their plights and should take the measures in this regard at earliest so that the villagers here could feel a sigh of relief on EID especially. 

The inhabitants later appealed the higher ups of PHE department to look into the matter and redress their genuine grievances as soon as possible.

While talking to HEADLINES TODAY An offical of PHE division said, Due flash floods and havey rains in upper area of forest range of Gujjarnor, the pipe line may be damaged are blocked some were. In this regard due to continuous rainfall we can't work on it,But our ground team is working properly on it, I hope with upcoming weather improvement it will restored immediately.
