On routine Naka checking, Baramulla Police under the supervision of Syed Sajad Hussain-JKPS assisted by Inspr. Waseem Jahangir, SHO PS Sheeri arrested 02 drug peddlers Shabir Ahmad Mir S/O Mohd Samander Mir R/O Hyderpora Sopore and Feroz Ahmad Lara S/O Ghulam Qadir Kara R/O Model Town Sopore at Gantamulla Payeen and recovered 10 grams of Heroin like substance from their possession.
Similarly, Baramulla Police under the supervision of Sh. Junaid Wali-JKPS assisted by Inspector Raashid Ahmad, SHO PS Boniyar arrested 01 drug peddler namely Naseer Khan@ Muna S/O Gul Zaman Khan R/O Gubdar Trikanjan at Bela Boniyar crossing and recovered 10 grams of Heroin like substance from his possession.
A case under NDPS Act was registered in Police Station Sheeri & Boniyar and an investigation was set in motion.
General People of Sheeri & Boniyar hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship.
People are requested to come forward with information regarding Drug Peddlers of their areas so that the drug menace can be eradicated from society.
