NEW DELHI, Aug 23: Noted journalist and Editor-in-Chief of Daily Headlines Today, Jehangir Bukhari, has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate in recognition of his contribution to journalism, media and social service at a prestigious ceremony held in New Delhi.

The honour was conferred by the World Cultural and Educational Organisation during the ceremony, recognising Bukhari’s long association with journalism, his contribution to the media sector and his efforts to highlight issues of public importance and social concern.

Bukhari has had a long and diverse career in journalism, during which he has remained associated with issues concerning public interest, social welfare and community awareness. As Editor-in-Chief of Daily Headlines Today, he has been steering the newspaper’s editorial operations and its focus on issues of public significance.

The ceremony also witnessed the felicitation of several distinguished personalities from different fields for their respective achievements and contributions.

Among those honoured with honorary doctorates were noted cinematographer Vindu Dara Singh, Tihar Jail Superintendent Ajay Bhatia, Shot Put Gold Medallist Dr Richa Sood and Yogesh Rana.
