Langate, Nov,01:Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Pandithpori along with district administration and BDC Kralgund Bashir Ahmed today inaugurated Panchayat Bhawan Kralgund and laid foundation stone of Block Development Council Office at Supernaghama in Qaziabad block of Kupwara district. The Additional District Development Commissioner Kupwara, Altaf Ahmad Khan, ACD Kupwara, Mehraj Din Shah; ACP, Shabir Ahmad; BDC Kralgund, Bashir Ahmad and other concerned officers, besides, local PRI members were present at the occasion.
The first ever Panchayat Bhawan in Kralgund has been constructed at the cost of Rs.29 lakh.The Chairman DDC also laid foundation stone for Block Development Council Office Qaziabad costing Rs.97 lakh at Supernaghama. Addressing people on the ocassion, the Chairman DDC said that new era of development has begun with the establishment of District Development Council and people are witnessing development in their respective villages. While speaking with HT correspondent DDC chairman said that corruption has also declined in Government departments with increase in accountability and transparency.The Chairman assured that he will work towards the betterment of people .He stressed upon the officers and officials of Rural Development department to ensure that benefits of schemes are completely given to the poor people without indulging in any kind of bribery.
