Top Kupwara Police Officials Visit LOC Villages Affected by Shelling

Kupwara, May 08:In A significant outreach initiative, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani, today conducted an extensive visit to the Karnah Tangdhar sector along the Line of Control (LOC) to assess the prevailing situation in areas recently affected by cross-border shelling.
Accompanied by Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Kupwara and other senior officers, the SSP visited various forward villages impacted by the shelling. During the visit, he interacted with local residents, listened to their concerns, and assured them of the Jammu & Kashmir Police’s unwavering commitment to their safety, security, and well-being.
The SSP also reviewed the existing security arrangements in the sensitive border belt and directed the deployed officers to maintain high levels of alertness and remain fully prepared to respond to any emerging situation promptly. He emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination with other security agencies and civil administration to ensure the protection of civilian lives and property.
Expressing solidarity with the residents of Karnah and Tangdhar, Shri Ghulam Jeelani Wani reiterated that the Jammu & Kashmir Police stands firmly with the people living in border areas and will continue to extend all possible support in times of need.
The visit highlights the proactive and people-centric approach of the police department in addressing the challenges faced by communities in border regions and ensuring a prompt, coordinated response to any threat to peace and order.
