SRINAGAR: In a rare incident of its type, a wild boar was crushed to death in Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening, officials said.
They told GNS that an unknown vehicle hit the beast in Nathipora Sopore, resulting in its death on the spot.
“The entry of wild boar in the residential area of Sopore is quite a new thing to us”, a local told GNS, adding “We urge the authorities to keep a vigil on the things to avoid any untoward happening as the animal (wild boar) can potentially come lethal to the people in the area." (GNS)
