Huge cache of arms, ammunition recovered in Baramulla CRPF vehicle attacked in Shopian

Srinagar, Feb 17: Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a hideout in North Kashmir's Baramulla district and recovered a huge cache of explosives.

The police spokesman said that a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF recovered 11 Grenades and 11 UBGL during a search operation in Village Zandfarn at the Sheeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

" Joint Parties of Baramulla Police, Army 46RR, 2nd Bn SSB and 53 Bn CRPF busted hideout at Zandfaran Sheeri during Cordon and Search Operation.@JmuKmrPolice @KashmirPolice @DIGBaramulla," tweeted Baramulla Police.

Meanwhile, Militants hurled a hand grenade at a CRPF vehicle in the Shopian district of south Kashmir this evening, however, no loss of or injury was reported in the incident, officials said.

The grenade was lobbed towards the CRPF vehicle at Keegam in Shopian at around 7.30 pm, they said. They said the vehicle suffered minor damage, but there was no loss of life in the incident.
