COVID-19 on decline as J&K reports 19 new cases, no death

Srinagar, March 12: Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday reported 19 new positive cases of novel Corona-Virus (COVID-19) which includes 10 from Jammu and 09 from Kashmir divisions of the Union Territory taking the total number of positive cases to 453422.
Moreover, 48 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and subsequently been discharged from various hospitals including 22 from Jammu and 26 from Kashmir Divisions.
The Bulletin also informs that no new case of Mucormycosis has been reported today, thus the total number of confirmed cases remains 51 across J&K.
On COVID vaccination, the bulletin informs that 14,278doses of COVID vaccine have been administered in the last 24 hours bringing the cumulative number of doses administered across J&K to2,16,83,820.
According to the daily Media Bulletin on novel Coronavirus (Covid-19), out of 453422 positive cases, 252 are Active Positive (107in Jammu Division and 145 in Kashmir Division), 448421 have recovered and 4749 have died; 2326 in the Jammu division and 2423 in Kashmir division.
The Bulletin further said that out of 23776650 test results available, 453422 samples have tested positive and 23323228 samples have been tested as negative to date. Besides, 40,059 COVID tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
To date, 6219125 persons have been enlisted for observation which included 33615 persons in-home quarantine including facilities operated by the government, 252 in isolation and 458126 in-home surveillance. Besides, 5722383 persons have completed their surveillance period.
Providing district-wise breakup for positive cases reported today, the Bulletin said that Srinagar reported 05 cases, Budgam reported 01 cases, Pulwama reported 01 cases, Bandipora reported 01case, Kulgam reported 01 cases while as Baramulla, Kupwara, Anantnag, Ganderbal and Shopian reported no fresh cases for today.
Similarly, Jammu reported 06 cases, Kathua reported 02cases, Poonch reported 01 cases, Kishtwar reported 01 cases while Doda, Samba, Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban and Udhampur reported no fresh cases for today.
Moreover, the bulletin also highlights that against the availability of 4838 dedicated level 1 & level 2 COVID beds, only 03(0.06%) are occupied.
The bulletin informs that in case of any help, the general public can call J&K UT Centralized Health Helpline- TToll-FreeNo. 104. In case of emergency, people can avail of free ambulance services 24x7 by calling toll free number 108 while pregnant women and sick infants can avail free services by dialling toll free number 102, the bulletin reads.
It also informs that the public can reach the national helpline by dialling 1075.
