Bank guard shot an injured in Pulwama

Srinagar, Mar 10: Suspected militants shot and injured a bank security guard in an apparent bid to snatch his weapon at Muran Chowk in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday.

Officials said the guard identified as Abdul Hameed Wani of Tahab suffered injuries in the right leg in the attack. The injured guard was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment while the whole area was cordoned t by the joint team of forces to nab the assailants.

However, it could not be immediately confirmed whether the rifle of the guard was snatched by his attackers or not.
