BUDGAM: After registering 14 cases against two notorious thieves from North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, police finally booked them under Public Safety Act and shifted them to Kot Balwal Jail, Jammu. Two habitual offenders, infamous for breaking into the houses and shops were arrested by Budgam police, and after seeking permission from the authorities, both were detained under Public Safety Act for their unrelenting criminal acts of burglary. Budgam police identified the duo as Azad Mukhtar Hajam of Hanjiveera Khushbahar Colony Pattan and Altaf Dar, a resident of Hanjiveera Colony of Pattan town. A police spokesman said that at least 14 FIRs had been registered against the duo, eight at police station Pattan and six FIRs at police station Magam. (KNT)
