SRINAGAR: A policeman died of gunshot injuries in Hiller area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Wednesday. As per initial reports, the deceased has been identified as a selection grade constable of IRP 18 Battalion namely Umer Farooq of Poonch district was found dead with gunshot wounds. The cop was immediately rushed to GMC Anantnag hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. When asked if it could be a case of suicide, the officer said that the investigation is on and details will be shared soon. (GNS)
