SRINAGAR: Militants on Friday evening attacked an army vehicle in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

A top official said that the militants fired at army vehicles in Khanetar, Poonch district this evening. They said that there was no injury or loss damage in the incident.

Meanwhile, the area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A man was killed after he was attacked by a wild bear in the Village Bhendoga Nullah area of Doda district on Friday morning.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that a wild bear attacked a man identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, a resident of Kathawa Khanpura at Bhendoga Nullah.

He was immediately rushed to the hospital; however, he succumbed to his injuries on the way there, the official said.

Meanwhile, the locals appealed to the authorities to capture the wild bear as soon as possible. (KS)

SRINAGAR: Two persons were injured in a bear attack in Central Kashmir's Budgam district on Tuesday evening. An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that two persons were injured after attacked by wild bear in Ringzabal forest.

He said both the injured were immediately taken to PHC Hardapunzoo where from they were referred to JVC Srinagar for advanced treatment.

Meanwhile, a local doctor at PHC Hardapunzoo confirmed this news to Kashmir scroll and identified both injured as Ishaq Ahmad Sood son of Mohd Aslam Sood (18 years) and Mushtaq Ahmad Poswal son of Ghulam Hassan Poswal (24 years) both residents of Khansahib tehsil. (KS)

SRINAGAR: Police on Monday said that this evening pistol borne militant attacked BP Vehicle of CRPF which was Repulsed by the alert personnel in Khanyar area of Central Kashmir's Srinagar district.

Informing Via X (Formerly Know as Twitter), The Srinagar police posted, "There was an attempted attack by pistol born terrorist on BP vehicle of CRPF in khanyar area which was repelled by alert personnel. The militant was chased away by personnel, who showed wise restraint due to potential collateral damage. No injury to life or property reported,"(GNS)

SRINAGAR: A 3-year-old boy was killed in a leopard attack in Rajwar area of Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district this morning. 

Reports reaching GNS said that one Burhan Ahmad, son of Mohammad Kamal Mir of Marchwali Nichhama was pounced upon by a leopard outside his home this morning. 

The beast dragged the minor to some distance and upon chased by the family and villagers, left the boy with critical injuries. 

The boy was evacuated to a nearby health facility at Behnipora, where he succumbed shortly after. 

With several such incidents reported from the area in the recent past, the locals have demanded from the authorities to take necessary measures to avoid any such incident in the future. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: After Handwara now a man from north Kashmir's Sopore on Monday was injured after a wild bear attacked him.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that today morning a 38-year-old man was injured after a wild bear attacked him in Muqam Shaheed Mir area of Botengoo Sopore. The injured was immediately taken to nearby hospital where from he was referred to Sub District Hospital Sopore for advanced treatment.

The injured man was identified as Manzoor Ahmad Ganie son of Ghulam Rasool Ganai resident of Muqam Shaheed Mir Sopore.(KS)

SRINAGAR: A 70-year-old Man was injured in a bear attack in Zawoora Panthchowk area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district on Wednesday.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that man namely Abdal Salam lone son of Ghulam Muhammad resident of Panthchowk was attacked by wild bear in Zawoora area of Panthchowk. In the incident, he got injured and shifted to hospital for treatment.Meanwhile, further investigation has been taken up. (KS)

SRINAGAR: Three persons were injured after attacked by a leopard in Rafiabad area of North Kashmir Baramulla district on last night.

Reports reaching news agency—Kashmir Scroll said that the leopard attacked and seriously injured three people in Rafiabad area.

They said that leopard has been roaming in different villages including Ferozepura, Achabl and LoriHama. They said that Wildlife is in pursuit of him but has failed to catch him yet and People have appealed the administration to mobilize the department against him so that human lives won't get lost. All injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment, they said—(KS)

SRINAGAR: A boy was critically injured after he was attacked by unknown person in Qazigund area of South Kashmir An official told news agency, Kashmir Scroll that unknown person attacked one boy namely Faisal imtiyaz son of Imtiyaz Hussain Ganie resident of Qazigund and injured him badly .

He said that the boy was taken to GMC Anantnag for treatment where from he has been refered to SKIMS Soura for treatment. Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation.  (KS)

SRINAGAR: Two persons were injured after they were attacked by a wild bear in Brah Shangus area of South Kashmir Anantnag district on Tuesday.

An official told news agency, Kashmir Scroll thar a wild bear attacked two persons while grazing cattle in the upper top Punchnard Brah shangus area and injured them.

The injured have been identified as Dawood Chara son of Yaqoob Chara and, Nazir Ahmad Chara son of Zubir Ahmad Chara both residents of Sonch Halwa Dethu. Both persons were shifted to PHC Chittergul where from referred them to Sub District Hospital Shangus, he said. He added that wildlife teams have rushed to the spot to capture the wild animal. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A man on Wednesday evening was attacked and injured in Mehjoor nagar area of central Kashmir's Srinagar district officials said.

They told Kashmir Scroll that a man identified as Adil Amin son of Mohammad Amin of Mehjoor Nagar Srinagar was attacked by one unknown person on his right side shoulder at Rambagh.

However, he was immediately taken to SMHS hospital for treatment they said. Meanwhile, Police took cognizance of this incident. (KS)

SRINAGAR: Three persons were injured after they were fired upon by unknown gunmen in Ramgarh area of Samba district.

Official told the news agency, Kashmir Scroll that today at about 0400 hrs 03 persons namely Sunil Kumar (age 23 years) S/o Amar Nath , Sunil Kumar (age 25 years) S/o Bhagwan Dass both R/o Rangoor Camp, PS Ramgarh and Sunil Kumar (30 yrs) s/o Surjeet Singh r/o Gurunanak pura Amritsar Punjab were injured due to gun shots by unknown persons near Rangoor adda PS Ramgarh.

They said that all three are admitted in GMC Jammu for treatment. They added thar it has been learnt that that there is old rivalry between some local people of village-Rangoor Camp Ramgarh and some Punjab based persons. A group of persons belonging to Punjab had come to Rangoor camp on vehicle bearing no : CH01BW8889 and they fired a few rounds on some locals of village Rangoor Camp in which three persons got injured.
