SRINAGAR: A devastating incident occurred in Jammu on Friday morning when a truck carrying four individuals plummeted from a bridge, resulting in their tragic demise.

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll, the accident transpired on the Jhajjarkotli NH44, where a truck with the registration number RJ13GB/5654 lost control, collided with the bridge divider, and subsequently rolled off the bridge from a height of approximately 80 feet. The official said that both the driver and conductor of the truck were instantaneously killed at the scene.

Upon the arrival of the police team, two additional lifeless bodies were discovered and subsequently retrieved. An official confirmed that a case has been registered, and further investigations are currently underway.

At present, the identities of the victims remain unknown. Additional details will be shared as soon as more information becomes available. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A truck drowned in river Tawi along Jammu -Poonch national highway following which rescue operation has been launched.

An official told the news agency Kashmir Scroll that during intervening night of one truck rolled down and drowned in Manawar Tawi on Jammu Poonch highway at Dhallian area of sector Nowshera.

He said that whereabouts of driver / conductor could not be ascertained while Police/CRPF / Army started rescue operation.(KS) Further details awaited

SRINAGAR: 5 Year-old girl died after 'falling off a moving truck' in Zangli in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.

Reports reaching GNS that one Deeba Jan, daughter of Ghulam Nabi Khan, resident of Zangli Kupwara 'fell off the truck', resulting in grievous injuries to her. The girl was evacuated from the site and taken to SDH Kupwara, where the doctors declared her as brought dead on arrival.

Despite attempts, no official could be immediately made available to confirm the particular incident. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: A livestock-laden truck rolled down a gorge near Domail in Udhampur district resulting in fatality to all seventy goats and sheep, officials said.

They told GNS that a truck bearing registration number HP63 E4737B driven by one Sansar Singh, son of Jarnail Singh on way from Manwal side towards Srinagar turned turtle and rolled down a gorge in Roun Domail, resulting in on spot fatality of the whole livestock.

SRINAGAR: A motorcyclist was killed and two of his pillion-riders injured after a two-wheeler they were plying on collided with a tipper Pahalgam area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. 

Reports reaching GNS said that an accident took place between Tipper bearing registration number JK 13C 0290 and motorcycle bearing number JK03K –1852 at Lidroo Pahalgam, resulting in critical injuries to the motorcyclist Manzoor Ahmad Bhat and two pillion riders namely Abdul Ahad Mir son of Ali Mohd Bhat and Rouf Ahmad Bhat son of Gh Rasool Bhat – all residents of Krashangam Aishmuqam. 

The injured trio was evacuated from the site to PHC Pahalgam, where the motorcyclist Manzoor Ahmad Bhat succumbed to his injuries. 

Confirming it, a police official told GNS that they have taken cognizance into the incident for further investigations. (GNS)
