SRINAGAR: In a tragic incident, a well-known footballer from the north Kashmir's Baramulla district was fatally electrocuted on Thursday.

Sources told news agency Kashmir Scroll, Imtiyaz Ahmad Rather, a 30-year-old resident of Rangwar area in Baramulla, came into contact with a live wire while carrying out repair work at his home. Rather was immediately rushed to the Baramulla district hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival sources said.

Meanwhile, whole village were engulfed in shock and grief upon learning about the untimely demise of this famous footballer sources further added. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A youth died while as his uncle was injured after their bulldozer came in contact with a live transmission line in Padgampora area of Pulwama district on Thursday. 

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the duo were on bulldozer when it came in contact with the transmission wire. 

He said that they received critical injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital where youth succumbed to injuries. 

He has been identified as Sehran Ahmad (18) while his uncle has been identified as Abdul Rashid Dar of Larkipora Padgampora.

SRINAGAR: A youth was electrocuted to death in Rafiabad Sopore area of North Kashmir Baramulla district on Friday.

 An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that Sahil Ahmad Khan (19) son of Nawab Khan resident of Braman Rafiabad received electric shock at her residence.

He was shifted to GMC Baramulla for treatment where he succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance in this regard. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A labourer was electrocuted to death in Hardu Panzoo area of Central Kashmir Budgam district on Monday afternoon.

An official told news agency, Kashmir Scroll that alabourer namely Abdul Rashid Ganie (40) son of Abdul Kareem resident of Dans Beerwah was electrocuted at Wadipora Hardu Panzoo when he was cutting some trees.

He died on spot and dead body has brought to PP Hardu Panzoo for further necessary action, he said. Meanwhile Police have taken cognizance. (KS)

SRINAGAR: Two labourers were hospitalized with injuries after receiving an electric shock at Dilbagh area in Lolab of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday evening. 

Reports reaching GNS that two labourers were electrocuted at Dilbagh area in Divar Lolab when an iron pole they were erecting, touched a high-tension electric wire overhead. The duo was evacuated from the site to SDH Sogam, from where both of them were referred to District Hospital Handwara for preferential treatment. 

The duo has been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Mir of Chrali Gund Lolab and Aadil Ahmad Mir of Thundoosa Lolab.  It has been in the meantime learnt that one among the injured namely Aijaz Ahmad Mir has received critical injuries in the incident. 

Despite repeated attempts, the AEE concerned could not be reached for comments. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: A labourer was electrocuted to death near S.P. college Area of Central Kashmir Srinagar district on Saturday evening. An official said that a labourer identified as Zubair Ahmad Sheikh, 25, son of Gh Mohammad Sheikh resident of Dudran resident of Boniyar Baramulla, was electrocuted near S.P. college. They said that he was shifted to hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Meanwhile, police have taken cognizance of the incident and further proceedings have been initiated. (KS)

SRINAGAR: A BSNL employee died after he was electrocuted while performing his duties in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that a 48-year old employee received an electric shock when he was repairing a wire in the Pattan area.

The employee who has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Mir S/O Wali Mohammad Mir resident of Tantraypora Palhallan was shifted to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, Police in this regard have registered a case and investigations initiated.(CNS)
