SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir reported 38 fresh covid-19 cases while there was one death due to the virus during the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that 19 cases each were reported from Jammu and Kashmir divisions, taking the overall tally to 481551. Among the cases, 174932 are from the Jammu division and 306619 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district-wise details of the cases, they told GNS, Jammu reported 15, Udhampur 2, Rajouri 0, Doda 1, Kathua 0, Samba 1, Poonch 0, Ramban 0, Reasi 0, Srinagar 2, Baramulla 2, Budgam 2, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 2 and Shopian 0.

There was one death from the Jammu division during the time. So far 4790 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2357 from the Jammu division and 2433 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 39 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours 29 from the Jammu division and 10 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 325 active cases 166 in Jammu and 159 in Kashmir. (GNS)

They said that 19 cases were reported from Jammu division and 37 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 481064. Among the cases, 174695 are from Jammu division and 306425 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, Jammu reported 14, Udhampur 2,  Rajouri 1, Doda 2, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0, Reasi 0, Srinagar 2, Baramulla 6, Budgam 9, Pulwama 3, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 4, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 2 and Shopian 0. 

There was no death either from Jammu division or Kashmir Valley during the time. So far 4789 people have succumbed to the virus and among them include 2356 from Jammu division and 2433 from the Valley.

Besides, they said, 140 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—90 from Jammu division and 50 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 639 active cases— 274 in Jammu and 365 in Kashmir. (GNS)

They said that 43 cases were reported from Jammu division and 33 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 481064. Among the cases, 174676 are from Jammu division and 306388 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, Jammu reported 30, Udhampur 6,  Rajouri 1, Doda 2, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0, Reasi 2, Srinagar 10, Baramulla 3, Budgam 11, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 0, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 0, Kulgam 2, Shopian 1.

They said that 57 cases were reported from Jammu division and 94 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 480746. Among the cases, 174524 are from Jammu division and 306222 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, 38  cases were reported Jammu, 27 from Srinagar, 15 from Budgam, 10 each from Pulwama and Anantnag, nine from Ganderbal, eight each from Baramulla, Kulgam and Kishtwar, five from Kishtwar, four each Udhampur, Doda and Kulgam, three from Bandipora, besides one each from Rajouri, Kathua and Ramban.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, 38  cases were reported Jammu, 18 from Srinagar, 14 from Kulgam, 11 from Baramulla, seven from Bandipora, six from Doda, five from Kishtwar, five each from Budgam, Anantnag and Shopian, three from Kupwara, two each from Udhampur and Pulwama, besides one from Rajouri.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, 28 cases were reported Jammu, 14 from Srinagar, 10 from Budgam, seven from Kulgam, six Samba, four each from Udhampur and Kishtwar, three each from Rajouri, Baramulla, Ganderbal, two each from Reasi and Pulwama besides one each from Kathua, Poonch and Bandipora.

They said that 32 cases were reported from Jammu division and 18 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 480223. Among the cases, 174303 are from Jammu division and 305919 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they told GNS, 20 cases were reported Jammu, nine from  Pulwama, seven each from Samba, six from Srinagar, two each from Doda, Reasi, Kupwara and one each from Poonch and Baramulla.

They said that 26 cases were reported from Jammu division and 51 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 480109. Among the cases, 174248 are from Jammu division and 305861 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they said, 10 cases were reported from Budgam, nine each from Srinagar, Jammu and Baramulla, eight from  Pulwama, seven from Bandipora, five each from Udhampur and Samba, three each from Poonch, Ramban, and Kulgam, two each from Kulgam and Anantnag and one each from Rajouri and Ganderbal.

SRINAGAR: Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya reviewed public health preparedness for management of COVID-19 with states in view of the recent upsurge in some states.

Dr Mandaviya virtually interacted with State Health Ministers and Principal Secretaries from New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, he said, Centre and States need to continue working in collaborative spirit as was done during the previous surges for COVID-19 prevention and management.

The Minister advised them to be on the alert and keep all preparedness for COVID-19 management. He urged the State Health Ministers to conduct mock drills of all hospital infrastructures on 10th and 11th of this month and review the health preparedness with district administration and health officials. Dr Mandaviya also urged States to identify emerging hotspots by monitoring trends of Influenza-like illness cases and sending sufficient samples for testing of COVID-19 and Influenza. He also asked to ramp up whole genome sequencing of positive samples.

The Health Minister said that irrespective of the new COVID variants, the five-fold strategy of Test-Track-Treat-Vaccinate and Adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour should remain the tested strategy for COVID management. States and UTs were also requested to expeditiously increase the rate of testing from the current rate of 100 tests per million. They were advised to increase the share of RT-PCR in tests.

During the meeting, States and UTs were briefed that the country has been witnessing a steady increase in COVID-19 cases with average daily cases rising to four thousand 188 in the week. It was also informed that while India has achieved over 90 per cent coverage of primary vaccination, the coverage of precaution dose is very low. Dr Mandaviya advised States and UTs to ramp up vaccination of all eligible population, especially of the elderly and vulnerable population group. (CNS)

They said that 23 cases were reported from Jammu division and 35 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 479937. Among the cases, 174184 are from Jammu division and 305753 from Kashmir Valley.

Providing district wise details of the cases, they said, 14 cases were reported from Srinagar, 12 from Jammu, seven from Budgam, six from Kulgam, four from Samba, three from Pulwama, two each from Baramulla and Ramban while one each from Udhampur, Rajouri, Doda, Poonch and Shopian.
