SRINAGAR: Emphasising that ‘Akhand Bharat’ is an unalloyed truth, RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat underlined on Friday that there is no dispute over the historical fact that Partition was artificial.
“I say be ready but I certainly do not mean that India should attack Pakistan. We are not adherents of a culture of aggression but forceful in self-defense. However, the truth will come to the minds of people. A hint is sufficient for an individual who understands. A divided body has to be rejoined. Bharat was split – it was a nightmare – but it is not necessary that we should forget that portion associated with Sanatan culture. How can we forget? India should emerge as a world leader. The Pakistani people are now saying that Partition was a mistake. Their ancestors were adamant but are their descendants happy? Certainly not and the sadness is existent because they are leading an unnatural existence. There is no shame whatsoever in talking of this. Truth prevails, falsehood is after all temporary,” the visiting leader said while addressing a function in the Madhya Pradesh capital to mark the 100th birth anniversary celebrations of immortal revolutionary Hemu Kalani.
Without naming any individual or entity, Dr. Bhagwat said that the Sanatan tradition is being slandered.
“There are people who instigate division and strife between one another. The divisive forces will be victorious if we fall prey to their fuelling confrontation. Let us be peaceful. We have to render the crooked conspiracy unsuccessful. Do not play their game,” he cautioned during his 27-minute-long speech.
The RSS chief regretted the fact that the contribution of martyrs is not fully comprehended and respected.
He expressed grief over the loss of life in the Indore temple tragedy. (UNI)
