SRINAGAR: The Special Investigation Unit (SIU) in Srinagar has filed a chargesheet against two accused militants in the case FIR No. 39/2022 in NIA court Srinagar.

“The chargesheet, marked as No. 03/2024, pertains to case FIR No. 39/2022 under sections 7/27 A Act, 302 IPC, 13, 16, 18, 20 & 38 UA(P) Act of the Police Station Soura, Srinagar. It has been presented against two individuals identified as Adil Ahmad Parray, son of Habibullah Parray, a resident of Badragund Ganderbal (A1), and Basit Ahmad Dar, son of Late Ab. Rashid Dar, a resident of Redwani Payeen Qaimoh Kulgam,” reads the statement.

Of the accused, Adil Ahmad Parray has been reported deceased, while Basit Ahmad Dar remains absconding. “The court has been petitioned to acknowledge Basit Ahmad Dar’s status as an absconder under section 299 CrPC. The next hearing is scheduled for 28-03-2024,” it reads.

SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency on Saturday morning attached the residential house of an accused in connection with case of weapon recovery in Chanapora area of Srinagar district.

Sources told GNS that a NIA team along with police and CRPF this morning attached the property of an accused namely Mushtaq Ahmad son of Abdul Ganaie, Khan Colony, Chanapora, they said.

The house has been attached in connection with case RC 4/22 regarding recovery of weapon, they added.

Its pertinent to mention that Srinagar Police in May 2023 in Chanapora arrested two local hybrid militants of proscribed militant outfit LeT/TRF. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including 15 pistols, 30 magazines, 300 rounds & 1 silencer were recovered. The case was handed over to NIA for further investigation(GNS)

SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday attached properties of two key Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives for their involvement in 2015 terror attack on a Border Security Forces convoy in Udhampur.

As learnt by GNS, sleuths of the investigation agency attached the properties of two accused who are currently undergoing trial in the NIA Special Court, Jammu.

The attachment was made on the directions of a competent Court. (GNS)

SRINAGAR:  The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday filed a chargesheet against two accused, including a Pakistan National and a close associate of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) Chief Maulana Masood Azhar Alvi, in the terror conspiracy case.

The terror conspiracy case related to disturbing the peace and communal harmony of Jammu & Kashmir through acts of violence and terror.

The chargesheet was filed against Mohammad Ubaid Malik a resident of Kupwara, J&K, and Muhammad Dilawar Iqbal alias Maaz Khan Kashmiri alias Maaz Khan alias Maaz Kashmiri alias Azad Kashmiri, a resident of Abbaspur, Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK).

“The duo were involved in a criminal conspiracy to carry out terrorist activities in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir by unleashing attacks on security forces and so-called ‘outsiders’,” a NIA statement said.

It said Dilwar, a close associate of JeM Chief Masood Azhar, was engaged in motivating Kashmiri youth as part of a larger conspiracy hatched by proscribed terrorist organisations and their affiliates to carry out terrorist acts and activities in the region.

According to NIA investigations, Dilwar was responsible for motivating Ubaid to join the JeM militant ranks.

“Dilawar would incite youth having a militancy background to pursue Jihad by sharing with them inflammatory audio clips and videos as well as images of Maulana Masood Azhar Alvi, showing the latter preaching radical Islam.

He also sent videos related to encounters in the Kashmir valley and would provoke the youth to pick up arms,” the NIA said.

Both the accused have been charged under sections 120B & 121A of the IPC, 1860 and Sections 18, 18B, 20 & 38 of the UA (P) Act, 1967.

The terror conspiracy case was registered by NIA suo motu on June 21, 2022.

It relates to the conspiracy hatched by terrorist organisations to unleash violent terrorist attacks in J&K with sticky bombs, IEDs and small arms, etc. as part of the Pakistan-backed terror groups’ conspiracy.

It involves radicalization of local youth and mobilization of overground workers of newly floated terrorist groups, such as The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, PAAF and others.

These outfits are affiliated to proscribed terrorist outfits like Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr and Al-Qaeda, etc.

NIA said the Investigations in the case are ongoing with the Agency continuously working to expose and thwart the bigger conspiracy of the terrorist organisations to revive terrorism and disturb peace and communal harmony in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. (UNI)

SRINAGAR:  Police on Tuesday said revenue authorities under the Police protection demolished “illegal structures on government land (Dar-ul-uloom)” on the recommendations of NIA in Pulwama in south Kashmir. 

“Pertinent to mention here that Police and Army had conducted an operation during intervening night of 11/12th March in 2022 in a Darul Uloom located at Chewa Kalan Pulwama in which one local (militant) Aquib Mushtaq resident of Kareemabad and one FT got killed,” Police said in a statement, adding, “In this connection, investigation of case FIR No 50/2022 was later on taken over by NIA and during investigation, NIA arrested the administrators of Dar-Ul-uloom namely Naseer Molvi resident of ChewaKalan and his associate namely Imtiyaz who are still under custody.”

The Dar-Ul-uloom comprising of three single storied rooms were built on “Govt land and were redundant since occurrence of encounter i.e. March 11/12, 2022.” 

“Accordingly, on the recommendations of NIA these illegal structures on Govt land got demolished tonight (read night between October 9/10) by revenue authorities under Police protection,” he said.(GNS)

SRINAGAR: National Investigation agency on Friday raided different locations in South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Official sources told the news agency Kashmir Scroll that National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided different locations in South Kashmir's Kulgam district.

They said that NIA team was assisted by police & CRPF and house of Slain Hizb Commander Omar Ganie from Shouch Kulgam was also raided.(KS)

SRINAGAR: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at several places in Kashmir on Tuesday in an NGO terror funding case, officials said.

They said that nine locations in several districts of J&K were raided by the anti terror agency. The raids were carried out by sleuths of the NIA with the assistance of police and the CRPF.
More details about the raids are emerging.
Officials said the case relates to NGOs and trusts diverting funds meant for charitable activities to "secessionist and separatist activities" in Jammu and Kashmir.

The case was registered on October 8, 2020, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) on receiving "credible information that certain NGOs and Trusts are collecting funds domestically and abroad through so-called donations and business contributions" and then using them to fund terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Some of these NGOs have links with proscribed terrorist organisations such as Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), etc. Further, funds collected by such NGOs, Trusts, and Societies are sent to Jammu & Kashmir through various channels, such as cash couriers and hawala traders based in Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, and other parts of India, to sustain the secessionist and terrorist activities in the Kashmir Valley, as a part of a larger criminal conspiracy hatched by these NGOs, Trusts, and Societies, etc., prejudicial to the unity, integrity, sovereignty, and security of India," the officials added. SRINAGAR:  Special Court Kulgam designated under National Investigation Agency (NIA) Act issued Proclamation orders against two active Lashkar-e-Taiba militants, officials said.

The Court has given the duo a chance to surrender by or before September 15.

The Proclamation orders were issued against Yawar Bashir Dar of Redwani Balla and Irfan Yaqoob Lone of Hawoora, on the request of Jammu and Kashmir's Special Investigation Unit (SIU).

The two are involved in a case registered in Police Station Qaimoh Kulgam.

“Before issuing the proclamation orders, the Court had already issued open ended Non Bailable warrants (NBW) against these terrorists.,” police said.

Today Proclamation orders were read in the conspicuous places of their native villages and copies of proclamations were pasted in conspicuous places of their residential houses and conspicuous place of their villages as well, they added.

“Before initiation of further proceedings under law against these terrorists, Court has given them a chance to surrender before the Court or Investigation agency or Police Station by or before September 15, 2023,” police said.

Teams of SIU Kashmir went to their native villages in Kulgam, along with local police & Magistrate for execution of Proclamation orders and proper SOPs have been followed during these proceedings. (UNI)

SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency on thursday are carrying multiple raids across Valley in connection with militancy conspiracy case.

Official sources told GNS that this morning, the NIA team along with police and CRPF conducted searches in South Kashmir’s Pulwama, Awantipora and Shopian, and simultaneously in north Kashmir’s Baramulla and Sopore in connection with case pertaining to militancy conspiracy case.

Till this report was being filed, no arrest or recovery was being reported so far. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: National Investigation Agency on Thursday was carrying raids across South Kashmir in connection with the case related to the OGW network.

Official sources told GNS that this morning, NIA, with the assistance of police and CRPF conducted searches a cross South Kashmir against Over Ground Worker network.

The raids were underway in connection with case RC 5/22 against OGWs.
