SRINAGAR: Power Controller Kashmir has informed that the power supply to multiple receiving stations shall remain affected in coming days in wake of necessary repair works.

The Power Controller Kashmir informed that power supply to Rangreth and Wanbal shall remain affected due to necessary repair works on June 04 from 3 am to 6 pm.

Similarly, in order to carry out RMU works on 33 KV Pampore- Badamibagh line  the power supply to receiving stations Badami Bagh, Sonwar, Panthchowk, Tangnar WSS, Govt Press, Lasjan and DPS shall remain affected on June 03 from 2 am to 3 pm.

Likewise, in order to facilitate erection of poles the power supply to receiving stations Hutmurrah, Aishmuqam, Salia, Batkoot, Sallar, Pahalgam AIS, GIS Pahalgam and District Jail shall remain affected on June 03 and 06 from 10 am to 4 pm and receiving stations Kakapora, Newa, Pinglena, MLIS Stage-I, II, III and IV shall remain affected on June 04 and 06 from 9.30 am to 5 pm.

Similarly, in order to carry out Hardware installation and Stringing works the power supply to receiving stations Gulshanabad and Mitrigam shall remain affected on June 03 from 9.30 am to 5 pm.

Likewise, in order to facilitate erection of poles and other related works the power supply to receiving stations Watlab, Dooru, Tujjar, PHE, Rohama, Chakloo, Ganapora, Hadipora , Watergam, Hachipora, Safapora, Seer, Jagir and SIDCO shall remain affected on June 03, 06 and 10 from 9 am to 4 pm; receiving stations Salamabad, Bandi, Mohra and Noorkha shall remain affected on June 03 and 06 from 10 am to 4 pm; receiving stations Phuropeth, Zachaldara, Chanjmulla and Audoora shall remain affected on June 05, 08 and 10 from 10 am to 4 pm; receiving stations Krusen, Sogam, Machil, Khumriyal, Tikkar, Hyhama, Drugmulla and MES shall remain affected on June 03 and 07 from 10 am to 4 pm and receiving stations Tangdar, Keran, Kralpora, Trehgam, Karihama, Taratpora and Panzgam shall remain affected on June 06 and 10 from 10 am to 4 pm. SRINAGAR: The tussle between Srinagar outskirt locals and the Power Development Department over the installation of smart meters has put the lives of at least four patients to risk.

Pertinently, an elderly man Muhammad Aslam Mir of Mir Mohalla Onta Bhawan Soura area of Srinagar outskirts as per the locals died due to lack of Oxygen supply after the PDD men snapped the power supply of the area in the middle of the night.

Mir was on oxygen concentrator support and lost his life after the PDD snapped electricity in the locality for opposing the installation of smart meters.

A day after the death of the man, locals told news agency Kashmir News Trust that 4 patients in the locality are also on the Oxygen concentrator support and one of them, a lady is critical.

“The irony is that even after this tragedy, PDD didn’t bother to restore the power supply,” one of the locals Ghulam Nabi Mir said and accused PDD officials of resorting to oppressive and unethical means to suppress and force the people to get the smart meters installed.

 The locals said that their only fault is that they staged a protest against the installation of meters at Ilahi Bagh Chowk. “The PDD employees first instigated us to protest and then the same employees cut the power line in the middle of the night, even not bothering about the ailing patients for whom power supply is a life-line,” they said and reiterated that they won’t allow installation of smart meters as they can’t afford to pay fatty power bills.

They said the locality is reeling under darkness for the last 5 days and the lives of ailing patients who are on Oxygen concentrator support are at risk.

 “We will never forget this inhuman approach of Power Development Department officials,” they said. (KNT)

Power Controller Kashmir has informed that, the power supply to Receiving Stations Nowpora, Achabal, Seelu and Bomai shall remain affected due to facilitate augmentation/twining woks on May 09 and 13 from 10 am to 3 pm.

Similarly, in order to facilitate urgent preventive maintenance works the power supply to receiving stations Harwan, Shalimar, Brain, Sonwar, Dalgate, BB Cant and Rajbagh shall remain affected on May 10 from 10 am to 2 pm.

Likewise, the power supply to receiving stations Pulwama and Pinglena shall remain affected on May 09 and 10 from 09 am to 5 pm due to carry out Erection of poles foe new 33 KV Lassipora- Pulwama Line.

Similarly, in order to facilitate shifting of electrical Utilities the power supply to receiving station Wanpoh shall remain affected on May 09 from 11 am to 3 pm.

Likewise, in order to facilitate shifting of electrical Utilities the power supply to receiving stations Brakpora and Dialgam shall remain affected on May 13 from 11 am to 3 pm. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: Power Controller Kashmir has informed that, the power supply to Receiving Stations including Kremshore, Kanir, Khansahib, Raithan, Branwar and Hanjura shall remain affected on April 15 from 10.00 am to 4 pm.

Similarly, the power supply to receiving stations Narbal, Sanoor, Zainkote, Shalteng and Bakshpora shall remain affected on April 12 and 15 from 09 am to 3 pm.

The snapping of power supply is believed to have been done in order to facilitate the necessary maintenance of power supply lines. (GNS)

Similarly, the power supply to receiving stations Peerbagh, STC, BSF and Airforce shall remain affected on April 08 from 11 am to 5 pm.

Likewise, the power supply to receiving stations Rohama, Chakloo, Ganapora, Hadipora, Watergam and Food Park shall remain affected on April 08 from 11 am to 3 pm.

Similarly, the power supply to receiving stations Pulwama and Pinglena shall remain affected on April 08 from 09 am to 3 pm. (GNS)
