                <title>Three Militant Associates Apprehended In J&amp;K's opore: Police</title>
                                    <description><![CDATA[<p>SRINAGAR: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested 03 militant associates in North Kashmir's Sopore.</p>
<p>In a handout to GNS, the police said that it along with Army (22RR) &amp; CRPF (179BN) at a joint checkpoint established at Fruit Mandi crossing noticed 03 suspicious persons attempting to flee from the spot, but the alert joint party apprehended them tactfully. They have been identified as Faisal Ahmad Kachroo son of Farooq Ahmad Kachroo resident of Baba Yousuf Sopore, Aquib Mehraj Kana son of Mehraj din Kana resident of Sangrama Sopore and Adil Akber Gojree son of Akbar Gojree resident of Kushal</p>...]]></description>

During search, a pistol, mobile phones and other incriminating materials were recovered from their possession. Its pertinent to mention here that trio failed to justify the contents of their phones, which contained incriminating evidence.</p>

                <title>Explosive Material, Other Ammunition Recovered During CASO in Sopore: Official</title>
                                    <description><![CDATA[<p>SRINAGAR: A cache of explosive material and other ammunition was recovered during a cordon-and-search-operation in Sopore area of Baramulla district, an official said on Thursday.</p>
<p>The official told GNS that a cordon-and-search-operation was launched at Krankshiven village in connection with an FIR number 307/2023. </p>
<p>During the searches, the official said, explosive material, IEDs, a rusted pistol with a magazine and ammunition of SLR/AK-47/Pistol were found and recovered at the residence of one Rashid Najar. </p>
<p>"Rashid Najar is the brother of slain militant Qayoom Najar", the official said adding further investigations into the matter are underway. (GNS)</p>]]></description>

                                    <description><![CDATA[<p>SRINAGAR: A Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) student has passed away due to a suspected cardiac arrest in Iran.</p>
<p>As learnt by GNS, an MBBS student namely Mohammad Arsalan Kanjwal from Noor Bagh Sopore in Baramulla, enrolled at a Medical University in Iran, passed away due to a suspected cardiac arrest. </p>
<p>The deceased was currently in the fourth year of his medical degree. </p>
<p>Back home Jammu &amp; Kashmir Students Association, led by Nasir Khuehami, has urged the Ministry of External Affairs and Lieutenant Governor led administration to facilitate the repatriation of the mortal remains of the deceased student.</p>...]]></description>

<p>Expressing hope, Khuehami said that we have been assured that the mortal remains will be brought back anytime in the next two days.</p>
