At least eleven private clinics and labs functioning in Sumbal and Hajin areas of Bandipora were sealed on Thursday for the want of required documentation formalities.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Rafi Salati told GNS that a comprehensive inspection was conducted by a team comprising of Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit, Chief Medical Officer, SDM Sumbal, Tehsildar Sumbal and Municipal Chairmen of Hajin and Sumbal along with the President of Private Diagnostic Labs Association of Bandipora and associated staff. “During the inspection, the team found at least 11 clinics and labs which included two dental clinics in Hajin and in Sumbal, one dental, one X-ray, and seven USG clinics/labs were operating without proper registration”, the medical officer said. 

“The visiting team instantly sealed all the eleven enterprises until they complete the required documentation process and obtain appropriate registration from the competent authorities,” he said.

“Additionally, several other clinical establishments and labs were cautioned to fulfill their documentation within seven days or face similar actions”, the officer further said. 

“The inspection was aimed to ensure compliance with the necessary healthcare standards and registration protocols in the district”, he said further. (GNS)

SRINAGAR: 18-year old boy allegedly committed suicide in Banyari village of Hajin in north Kashmir's Bandipora district on Wednesday evening.

Officials told news agency, Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the deceased was identified as Mudasir Ahmad Dar son of Bilal Ahmad Dar, a resident of Banayari.

They said that his body was found hanging in an open field joutside his home.

After completing legal formalities, the body was  handed over to his family for the last rites.

Police has taken cognizance of the case and started  investigation in the matter. (KNO)

SRINAGAR: A scooty rider lost his life while as pillon rider was injured after scooty skidded off road in Hajin area of North Kashmir Bandipora district on Saturday.

An official told news agency Kashmir Scroll that an accident took place at Baharabad Hajin in which scooty skidded amd rolled down at Baharabad.

In the incident scooty rider namely Danish Hussain Wani died on spot and pillon rider Nissar Hussain Wani injured critically and refered to JVC Srinagar for treatment, he said, adding that both are residents of singhpora Pattan.

 Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started investigation. (KS)
