Langate Holds Candlelight March to Condemn Delhi Blast

Langate, Nov 12:In a heartfelt show of unity and grief, the people of Langate on Wednesday evening held a massive candlelight march to condemn the tragic and brutal explosion that ripped through a jam-packed market near Red Fort in Delhi. The devastating terrorist attack claimed the lives of over twelve innocent people and left around twenty-five others injured, sending shockwaves across the nation.
Residents from Chogal, Guloora, Pharoupeth, Hanjishat, Harn, Takibal, Gund Chogal, Kultoora, Kharou, Gund Kharou, Shanoo, Tulwari, and Langate town, including members of civil society, traders, transporters, youth forums, students, and social activists, came together in solidarity to pay tribute to the victims and to call for peace and unity across India.
The marches began simultaneously from different villages of the Langate area particularly from the twin markets of Langate and Chogal. The Langate march culminated at the historic Main Chowk Langate around 5:30 PM, while the Chogal procession concluded at the main market of M. Chogal along the SoporeKupwara highway.
At both locations, participants holding candles and banners raised powerful slogans denouncing terrorism and violence. The atmosphere was charged with emotions as people expressed their anguish and demanded peace, justice, and brotherhood in the wake of the brutal attack.
“The barbaric and tragic explosion in the Red Fort market is a murder of humanity and a grave violation of international law,” said a student while speaking to Headlines Today. Many participants echoed similar sentiments, urging everyone to unite against terrorism and to foster love, harmony, and tolerance in society.
Participants also lauded the tireless efforts of the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the civil administration for maintaining law and order amid ongoing challenges. They appealed to the people to cooperate with the authorities and support all initiatives aimed at eradicating terrorism and promoting lasting peace.
The Langate march concluded at the Main Chowk, where a solemn tribute was paid to the victims. A moment of silence was observed as participants stood together in mourning and solidarity.
The candlelight march served as a powerful symbol of Langate’s collective resilience and unwavering stand against terrorism. It reflected the community’s firm commitment to uphold peace, humanity, and brotherhood, reaffirming hope for a united and terror-free India.
